what is a sound bath?

At soundcircle, a sound bath is a space to pause.

It’s a form of sound therapy that uses carefully chosen tones, rhythms and vibrations to support deep rest. In a world that moves quickly and asks a lot of us, sound baths offer a moment to slow down, without needing to do, fix or achieve anything.

  • During a session, you lie down or sit comfortably while instruments such as crystal singing bowls are played in slow, intentional patterns. The sounds are designed to gently guide the nervous system out of fight-or-flight and into a state of rest. There is nothing you need to do. You are simply invited to receive.

  • Sound has been used for thousands of years across many cultures as a practise for healing, meditation and ritual.

Sound baths draw on this ancient wisdom, alongside a growing understanding of how sound and rhythm affect the nervous system. Slow, sustained tones help the body soften out of stress, quiet mental noise and settle into deeper states of rest.

  • Sound baths support rest across the body and mind. While every experience is individual, many people notice the following benefits:

    • Nervous system regulation
Supports the body to move out of stress and into a calmer, more balanced state, often bringing greater mental clarity and focus.

    • Deep rest and relaxation
Encourages slower brainwave states associated with rest, meditation, and deep restoration.

    • Reduced stress and anxiety
Helps quiet mental noise and ease feelings of tension or overwhelm.

    • Improved sleep quality
Supports the body to unwind, making deeper rest and more restorative sleep more accessible.

    • Emotional release and clarity
Creates space for emotions or thoughts to surface and gently release, supporting a sense of lightness and clarity.

  • Our mission at soundcircle is to create sound experiences that are not about performance or perfection, but about offering a safe, grounded space where the body can soften the mind can settle and you are invited to pause.

our story

soundcircle was founded by Sian Feldman, born from a personal journey back to self.

Over time, life gathered momentum; a full-time career, motherhood, commitments and a mind that rarely switched off. Like many people, I was outwardly functioning and achieving, while inwardly feeling disconnected from myself. It wasn’t until I attended my first sound bath that I experienced something different - a moment of stillness that cut through the constant noise.

Through sound, I discovered something I hadn’t realised was missing: the ability to slow down enough to hear myself again. It became a way to return to my body, my inner being and a quieter, steadier sense of self, a place of deeper listening and understanding. Sound offered rest without effort and presence without pressure.

What began as a personal practice soon became something I felt deeply called to share. soundcircle is an extension of this lived experience.

It is not about performance, transformation or becoming someone new. It is about creating calm, intentional spaces where people can rest, restore and return to themselves, often in ways they didn’t realise they needed. Each soundcircle session is guided with care, integrity and respect for the individual journey of every person in the room.

In a world that constantly asks more of us, soundcircle exists to offer an invitation to pause and to simply be.
